STEP 1

Take a wooden pallet

To make the base and primary setup, take a wooden pallet of the desired length that will be constructed into the main structure for your mud kitchen.

We recommend you to take two pieces of the wooden pallet; you can have them as per your requirement. One-piece will provide support at the back and the other will act as a base.

 

STEP 2

Prepare the worktop

The taps have different shapes and sizes, so the position of a washer may differ. However, it is usually present on the top or side of the valve. Modern taps do not have washers but use ceramic disc cartridges and sensors.

Steps To Change A Washer On A Kitchen Tap

  • Pick up the adjustable wrench and turn it counterclockwise to remove the crown. On the bottom, you will see a rubber washer and O-rings.
  • A rubber washer is generally present at the bottom of a faucet and the O-rings are two circular rings installed around the top of the headgear.

Step 4: Pull Out The Old Washer

  • You will see a small nut in the middle of a rubber that holds the washer for better adhesion.
  • Remove the old washer using a screwdriver by unscrewing the nut.

Step 5: Change The Washer

  • A washer comes in a variety of sizes and types.
  • According to the shape and size of the rubber, choose the compatible one.
  • Attach the tap washer to the bottom of the headgear.

Step 6: Clean The Seating

STEP 5: Fix The Wall Plugs

  • Secure the units with additional clamps or wall plugs. 
  • A wall plug provides a strong grip and extra support to the kitchen units. 

STEP 6: Fitting Hinges and Handles

  • The hinges already come with the screws, unwrap the packing and open the screws. 
  • Drill the proper hole through the doors and insert the hinges. 
  • Using a jackhammer, place the screws and attach the hinges inside the cabinet. 
  • Now, place the doors on a working table and fix the hinges on it. 
  • Mark where the handles will be attached. 
  • Drill the holes based on the diameter of the handle screws. 
  • Attach them securely to the doors.
